These overall achievements are limited however by concerns about disparities in access, in comparison with other minority groups in Vietnam, the H’mong have been assessed to be the most economically vulnerable with the highest poverty rate, and the lowest educational achievements.” (UNICEF)
The Helping Hands Sapa Service projects provide funding, resources and general capacity building to Sin Chai and Sa Seng Primary Schools and their communities– both are local H’mong primary schools in the Sa Pa area, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam.
1. Laptop and tablet donation programme and training for Sin Chai School
2. Continue the successful clothing and rice drives to support the community in the villages visited
3. Class library projects for Sin Chai and Sa Seng School
- Available and willing to join at least one maybe two overnight trips to Sapa
- Interest in creative education, teaching or technology
