RESIST has been funded within the PRIN 2022 (Progetti di Rilevanza Nazionale) funding scheme.
The aims of RESIST is to develop a Digital Twin simulation environment for assessing the resilience of industrial socio-technical plants against cyber-attacks. The project will develop a framework for simulating Cyber-Socio-Technical Systems (CSTS) functioning. Beyond the methodological development, a validation in a real-world plant will offer recommendations for adapting the methodology to diverse industrial domains.
The project advances the field of Systems Engineering and Resilience Engineering by combining different disciplines and contexts to produce a comprehensive analysis of current complex industrial systems with cyber components.
The project coordinated by Sapienza Dept. of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, involves the Department of Industrial Engineering (Università di Bologna) and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Science (Università Politecnica delle Marche).
To develop a methodology for integrated CSTS modelling of industrial plants
To demonstrate the developed approach for resilience assessment in an experimental industrial plant
To provide guidelines for transferring and extending the methodology to other plants and industrial settings
