Workshop on Household Heterogeneity, Inflation, and the Green Transition
Sapienza University of Rome, June 6th and 7th, 2024.
Organized within the PRIN Projects locally coordinated by Giovanni Di Bartolomeo (Green policy shocks, Economic transition, and Distributive conflicts) and Salvatore Nisticò (Persistent Slumps, Policy, and Heterogeneity).
On June 6th and 7th, 2024, Sapienza University of Rome will host the Household Heterogeneity, Inflation, and the Green Transition Workshop. This event brings together Central Banks and experts to discuss the heterogeneous impacts of inflation and green policies on different households. Key topics include the heterogeneous impact of inflation on household finances, shopping behaviors, the macroeconomic effects of energy shocks, the diverse outcomes of carbon pricing, and the broader distributional effects of the green transition. Engage with academic leaders and policymakers to better understand these critical economic issues at this two-day event. The event will end with a Policy Panel where Andrea Brandolini (Bank of Italy), Lilia Cavallari (Parliamentary Budget Office), and Ottavio Ricchi (Director of the Economic and Financial Analysis and Research of the Treasury) will discuss challenges and opportunities for policymakers related to the heterogeneous impact of inflation and the green transition.
