Programme Overview
The Second-Level Master's Degree in Aviation Industry Management and Operations (Master AvIMO) is a highly specialized program (Level II) and corresponds to a third-cycle course in university higher education, providing a qualification at level 8 in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
The program is organized into three distinct phases:
Phase 1: This initial phase comprises a fundamental set of modules aimed at establishing a strong foundation in areas such as business modeling, economics, project management, and data management.
Phase 2: Building on the foundational knowledge acquired in Phase 1, this stage offers a set of advanced modules that allow participants to specialize in specific aviation topics and methodologies, in particular Certification and Airworthiness, Risk and Safety Management, and Aviaiton Operations
Phase 3: In this final phase, participants engage in innovation projects executed through internships in selected companies. These projects serve a dual purpose: (i) reinforcing operational knowledge and skills in specific areas of aviation, and (ii) fostering direct relationships with specific companies within the industry.
The program spans one year, covering two semesters and totaling 60 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits:
First Semester: Consisting of 38 ECTS credits allocated to teaching modules covering both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Second Semester: Comprising 22 ECTS credits dedicated to innovation projects as part of Phase 3. This includes tasks such as technical report preparation, dissertation writing, and the subsequent defense of the dissertation.
