Riccardo Patriarca is an Associate Professor at Sapienza. His area of research includes risk, resilience, business, and operations management, as well as business intelligence and artificial intelligence, applied in various industrial settings, and with particular focus in the aviation industry. Selected collaborations: EUROCONTROL, Qantas Engineering Australia, Consulta ground-handling, Aeroporti di Roma, the Italian Defense Ministry, Italferr. He sits in the editorial boards of Safety Science, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, and International Journal of Business Intelligence Research, among others. He has been awarded in 2017 by the Royal Aeronautical Society with the Young Person Award, in 2019 Forbes 30 under 30 in Europe in the category of "science and healthcare", and in the same year as one of the top five under 30 italian innovators in the category of "science" of Forbes Italia.
