Giulio di Gravio was born in Rome in January 1977. He graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2001. In 2002, he earned a second-level Master's degree in Engineering and Quality Management, followed by a PhD in Industrial Production Engineering in December 2005.
Since 2010, he has been a Researcher for SSD ING-IND/17 at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He became an Associate Professor in 2018 and a Full Professor in 2022 at the same department. Since 2020, he has served as the Coordinator of the Doctorate in Industrial and Management Engineering.
His research interests encompass business performance analysis and evaluation, supply chain management and business strategies, simulation tools and expert systems to support production, maintenance, and logistics, financial systems analysis for industrial investment evaluation, integrated approaches to compliance and risk management, and resilience engineering. He is also a founding partner of the university spin-off aiComply.
