Fiorenzo Laghi received his doctoral degree from Sapienza University in Psychology in 2003. He is Full Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology (SSD: M-PSI/04), and Director of Department of Developmental and Social Psychology. His primary research interests focus on prevention of risk behaviors and promotion of positive outcomes for at-risk child and adolescent populations. One area of research examines protective and risk factors on the development of risk behavior (i.e., substance use, binge drinking and binge eating) among at-risk early-adolescent and adolescent populations, and also involves the development and testing of programs to prevent or reduce involvement in such behaviors.
He also has interests in the application of advanced multivariate data analytic methods to examine identity status and risk and protective processes associated with developmental processes in behavioral outcomes. He is Director of Master in Autism Spectrum Disorder at Sapienza, University of Rome.
