The Transalpine Typology Meeting (TTM) is a network of linguists interested in and working on topics related to linguistic typology and comparative linguistics. The members are all affiliated with an institution located around the Alps. The objective of TTM is to create an informal and fruitful typological network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and views and to be updated on other colleagues' research.
To maintain these objectives over time, we regularly organize meetings at one of the member institutions. The first TTM will be at the University of Pavia (Italy) on July 1-3, 2025 (see TTM25).
So far, the members are from institutions in five European Countries: Italy (Pavia), France (Lyon), Switzerland (Bern), Germany (Freiburg), and Austria (Innsbruck). However, individual researchers and/or institutions located around the Alps are always welcome to join the network (upon TTM members' approval).
