*Use Book Wizard to find the reading level of the books your student is currently reading and get ideas for other books that they might be interested in to challenge their reading level throughout the school year!
Building a Growth Mindset (Understanding that we learn from mistakes and can keep progressing and learning each day) is a really important part of developing strong, independent problem-solvers and something that we work on everyday in the classroom.
*At this age, students often begin to "close off" and talking to them about their likes, interests, social and academic struggles or passions is hard! It can be just as difficult for them to put into words what they are thinking and feeling. Here are some questions to help "break" the silence. Remember to LISTEN to their answers!
