Dear Orchestra Members and Parents,

Welcome to the new year of the Uniondale High School Orchestra Program. I look forward to working with your child to increase their musical ability and create beautiful music. We will work on technique and various types of repertoire in order to push the students to achieve a higher level of excellence.

Performance is an essential component of participating in an instrumental ensemble. In order for the performances to showcase the talent of our musicians, it is essential that both students and parents are committed and dedicated to the program.  Similar to a sports team, the orchestra program will perform at its best when everyone works together. It is expected that your child attends school every day in order to participate in rehearsals and lessons. In addition, students are expected to be on time, be well prepared, follow all school rules, and give 100 percent effort in order to have a successful and enjoyable experience.  

Once again, I would like to welcome you to another year of music making! I look forward to fostering musical and personal growth during our pursuit of excellence.
