NPS PTA Scholarship

Did you know that PTA offers a scholarship to one graduating student every school year? 

It's true! 

This award is offered to scholars whose daily behavior reflects the 3 Pillars of Character (being respectful, responsible and caring), who are helpful to their classmates, our school’s staff, as well as those around them and whose parents are active members within the PTA.

We feel that it is important to show our students that volunteerism and advocating for the needs of others at a young age is monumental to their development as young people.

This will also allow both our scholars as well as our parents to be prepared for entry into the PTSA which will be introduced to them as they enter middle school and continue with their scholastic journey through the Uniondale School District.

Should for any reason there be no fifth grade PTA parents, teachers or administration are welcome to recommend a scholar, in writing, to the PTA for evaluation based on scholastic merits, extra-curricular participation, or the personal needs of the family. Our scholarships will be a minimum of $100, awarded to one student and the check will be presented to the scholar and their family at the award ceremony.
