Eng. Federico Calà was awarded with the Best Poster Award at the 18th BIOSIGNALS Conference, held in Porto (20-22 February 2025) from the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication.

This research aimed to develop an explainable unsupervised learning model to uncover vocal phenotypes of patients with dysphonia.

Eng. Federico Calà was awarded with the Best Student Paper Award at the 13th MAVEBA International Workshop, held in Florence (12-13 September 2023) from the Bioengineering journal.

The paper concerned the deployment of machine learning models to distinguish paralytic dysphonia and dysphonia due tonign vocal fold masses using acoustic features only. 

Eng. Angela Parente was awarded with the Best Master's Degree Thesis from the Gruppo Nazionale di Bioingegneria (the Italian National Bioengineering Group) in Bressanone.

The thesis was focused on machine learning techniques to predict how the sepsis can influence preterm infants neurodevelopment.

The ComPBioS Group was awarded with the 2° place at the Best AI in Healthcare project.
