Dr. Francesco F. Montesano is researcher at the National Research Council - Institute of Sciences of Food Production (CNR-ISPA, Bari, Italy). His research interests include techniques for sustainable production of vegetable crops in Mediterranean greenhouse conditions, soilless cultivation, irrigation and fertilization automatic management through smart strategies and technologies, effect of cultivation techniques on vegetable product quality improvement, mineral plant nutrition strategies (biofortification) aimed to the production of vegetables with specific nutritional traits, study of the effects of abiotic stress on plant physiology and crop performance.
