Dr. Bernardo Pace

Researcher at the CNR-ISPA since 2012, obtained Master Degree in Agricultural Sciences and PhD at University of Bari “Aldo Moro”. Matured a significant experience in pre and post-harvest of fruits and vegetables in international, national and regional research projects. As agronomist, participated in International Cooperation Projects in Tunisia and Albania for over seven years. Participated at many International courses and congress on postharvest and spend a period at University of California, Davis, deepening the issues of post-harvest. As researcher, covered the role of Project leader and lead of research activity and has been involved in many projects on the follow thematic areas: identification of technologies to improve the quality of products, whole and fresh-cut, applying; innovative treatments and / or pre-treatments; new packing’s materials and storage conditions (temperature, modified atmosphere, etc); valorisation of by-products of fruit and vegetable, improvement of the logistics of through the adoption of new and more efficient transport systems and application of non-destructive systems able to assessing the quality of fruit and vegetables.
