RESEARCH
The PhD Program in Advanced Therapies and Experimental Pharmacology is distinguished by a multidisciplinary approach that integrates various areas of advanced research aimed at improving the understanding of diseases and the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. The program focuses on cutting-edge technologies for the treatment of genetic, degenerative, and complex diseases, combining research on cellular, tissue, and gene therapies with the study of new drugs and biomaterials.
Research projects include the identification of specific biomarkers for more accurate diagnostics and prognostics, as well as promoting personalized therapies based on precision medicine. Particular attention is given to the translational potential of scientific discoveries into clinical applications, ensuring a tangible impact on medical practice.
The use of advanced imaging techniques, genomics, proteomics, and artificial intelligence enables better disease analysis, from understanding their molecular and metabolic mechanisms to optimizing diagnostics and treatments. Lastly, the program integrates epidemiological and biostatistical methodologies to design evidence-based studies, contributing to a more effective and patient-centered medicine.
