Our team consists of passionate researchers dedicated to exploring the connection between the microbiota, aging, and neurodegeneration. Using Drosophila models, we investigate how nutraceuticals and natural compounds can modulate inflammation, oxidative stress, and immune senescence. With a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular biology, proteomics, behavioral analysis, and longevity studies, our goal is to unravel the mechanisms underlying aging and neurodegenerative diseases, taking also into account how different sex can influence these mechanisms.
