The event will bring together participants with a deliberate balance between senior and junior researchers. A central goal of the meeting is to highlight thematic connections between different branches of number theory—including Diophantine geometry, analytic number theory, and arithmetic geometry—that are often studied in relative isolation. By creating opportunities for dialogue across these fields, the conference intends to stimulate new perspectives and research directions.
Particular attention is devoted to promoting the participation of young researchers and ensuring gender diversity among the speakers. The program combines established experts with early-career mathematicians, providing both visibility and mentoring opportunities for the next generation.
Through this format, Talks in Number Theory II aims to consolidate an international hub for number theorists in Southern Italy, strengthening collaborations at the European and global level and contributing to the long-term development of the discipline.
