About Me
Dr. Cabral received the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016. In March 2020, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same University. From September 2020 to August 2022, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain at the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK. Currently, he works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, Università degli Studi di Brescia, Brescia, Italy.
His research combines electrophysiological and biomechanical measures with signal processing methods to investigate the neural control of movement in a broad range of topics, including motor control, neural plasticity, and neuromuscular disorders. He is particularly interested in understanding the common oscillations underlying motor unit firing activity and techniques to examine this commonality.
