International Projects
I am the Italian investigator of the following:
KA203 European project: LSP-TEOC. LSP Teacher Education Online Course for Professional Development. Pro. (Grant no. KA203-ABE6A51B). This Erasmus+ project builds on the success of the TRAILs project, which created a curriculum for teachers of languages for specific purposes (LSP). The LSP-TEOC.Pro project aims to broaden this curriculum by creating a multilingual online course for LSP teacher training, in consultation with LSP practitioners across Europe. By creating a massive online open course (MOOC), the project will enable both prospective and accomplished LSP practitioners worldwide to expand their skills, even in the context of COVID-19 and the social distancing challenges it entails. Project information is available here : https://www.lsp-teoc.pro/
KA203 European Project: TRAILS Teaching Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP) in the EHEA (project n°2018-1-FR01-KA203-048085). The purpose of TRAILS is that of creating guidelines for teachers for LSP, given that they seem not to exist in Europe. Under my coordination, the University of Bergamo Unit will investigate how domain-specific knowledge is mediated, negotiated and taught in various specialized communicative environments and thus help develop language teaching, high competences and new literacies from a pedagogical angle. Project information is available here https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/projects/eplus-project-details/#project/2018-1-FR01-KA203-048085 .More information about the project can be found at the TRAILs website here: http://trails.espe-aquitaine.fr/index.php/accueil/overview/
National Projects
I was first member and then PI of the National Research Project (PRIN) "Knowledge Dissemination across media in English: continuity and change in discourse strategies, ideologies, and epistemologies 2015-2017" - cofunded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Scientific Research (Prot. 2015TJ8ZAS_002). The University of Bergamo Unit specifically investigates how knowledge dissemination can be realized in academic contexts through specialized academic journals as well as academic posters published online and what impact, if any, digital communication has in academic discourse. My personal contribution focuses on evidentiality in medical communication and its interrelation with knowledge dissemination.
