Turning Project Results into Long-Term Value

Capitalisation is the process through which the knowledge, tools, methodologies and results developed by THEMATIC2GREEN are reused, shared, transferred and further developed beyond the project lifetime. The project does not consider its outputs as final products, but as resources that can support future policies, investments, services and cooperation initiatives across the Adriatic-Ionian region. Capitalisation will help ensure that project results remain accessible and useful to public authorities, businesses, research organisations, communities and territorial stakeholders.

How THEMATIC2GREEN Will Capitalise on Its Results

THEMATIC2GREEN will promote the continued use and valorisation of its results by encouraging the integration of project tools and methodologies into local and regional planning processes. The approaches developed in the fields of environmental quality, climate adaptation and renewable energy will be made available for reuse and further application in different territorial contexts. Particular attention will be given to transferring pilot experiences to other territories and organisations and to disseminating the lessons learned, guidelines and recommendations generated throughout the project. Continued cooperation among project partners and stakeholders will help maintain the networks established during implementation and create opportunities for further joint initiatives. The project will also strengthen connections with existing European, national and regional programmes and initiatives, creating the conditions for future projects and investments to build on THEMATIC2GREEN results. Data, knowledge, methodologies and good practices will continue to be shared through digital platforms, communication channels and other dissemination activities, helping to extend the impact of the project beyond its formal duration.

Ownership

Project partners and relevant territorial stakeholders will be encouraged to take ownership of the tools, methodologies and solutions developed through THEMATIC2GREEN. Ownership may include the continued management of platforms, the use of project outputs in institutional activities, the integration of recommendations into strategies and planning processes, and the promotion of new initiatives based on the knowledge and solutions generated by the project. In this way, project results can become part of the ordinary activities of participating organisations and territories rather than remaining isolated outcomes linked exclusively to the project implementation period.

Durability

The durability of THEMATIC2GREEN results will depend on their practical use and continued application after the end of the project. The project will therefore encourage the long-term adoption of environmental-quality management and certification approaches, climate-impact assessment and adaptation-planning tools, and renewable-energy and energy-community models. The cooperation mechanisms created among stakeholders will also represent an important element of durability, supporting continued dialogue and collaboration at territorial level. Training materials and capacity-building resources developed during the project will remain available to strengthen knowledge and skills among relevant organisations and stakeholders. At the same time, the Joint Strategy and the solutions jointly developed by project partners will provide a shared reference framework for future policies, investments and initiatives.

Transferability

THEMATIC2GREEN results will be designed to be adaptable to different territorial contexts. The solutions developed through the pilot actions can be transferred to other coastal, rural, mountain and inland territories facing similar challenges related to environmental quality, climate change and renewable energy. Transferability will be facilitated through the preparation of clear methodologies and guidelines, together with the systematic documentation of pilot experiences and the exchange of good practices among territories. Stakeholder events, workshops and networking activities will provide opportunities to present and discuss project results with organisations beyond the original partnership. Cooperation with other projects and networks will further support the replication of successful approaches, while communication materials designed for different target groups will help make the project’s knowledge, tools and solutions understandable and accessible to a wider audience.

Capitalisation Beyond the ADRION Region

Although THEMATIC2GREEN focuses on the Adriatic-Ionian region, its results may also contribute to wider European cooperation on green development, climate resilience, environmental management and community-based renewable energy. The project will seek opportunities to share its experience through European networks, thematic events, policy platforms and future cooperation initiatives. By making its methodologies, lessons learned and transferable solutions available to a broader community, THEMATIC2GREEN can contribute to the development of new collaborations and support the replication of successful practices in other European territories.
