CoolFarmLab implements a comprehensive set of activities designed to foster the agroecological transition at farm level. Through a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach, the project integrates crop diversification, microbial biotechnology, circular economy processes, precision farming, and socio-economic research. These activities are carried out within Living Labs, which serve as collaborative environments where farmers, researchers, and stakeholders co-create and test innovative solutions in real conditions.
By combining scientific research with practical experimentation, CoolFarmLab aims to demonstrate the environmental, economic, and social benefits of agroecological farming systems. The activities are not only focused on developing sustainable agricultural practices, but also on empowering rural communities, enhancing biodiversity, improving soil health, and supporting policy frameworks aligned with the European Green Deal.
