She has a BA in Social Education from the Complutense University of Madrid, She also graduated in Psychopedagogy and achieved her PhD from the University of Extremadura.
Her research activity began with a Reseach Fellowship grant from the Extremadura Government (2007-2009). She has developed her career mainly in education technologies, virtual learning and training, use and integration of ICT in educational contexts. She has participated in regional and international research projects and has been lead researcher in a large number of research transfer and projects. She is the author and co-author of scientific articles and specialised books and has supervised two doctoral thesis. She has carried out international research exchanges, among others, in Europe, Latin American and Australian universities. She has been responsible for a business initiative in the First Edition of the Incubation Program of Innovative Entrepreneurial Initiatives in the CETEIS Network during 2018. Currently, she combines his research activity with entrepreneurial initiatives in e-learning and the development of gamified educational materials. Likewise, she actively collaborates with organisations in the field of cooperation for development and the third sector.
She is a Lecturer in Teaching and School Organisation (Education Sciences Department) in the Teacher Training College. She has developed her teaching work in the Faculties of Education and Teacher Training College, teaching subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (BA inPrimary Education, Early Childhood Education and Social Education), also in the University Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training and the University Master's Degree in Research in Social Sciences (specialty Education Sciences).
She has experience in university management, coordinating the Commission for Quality of the Secondary Education Teacher Training, she also has been the Head of Quality of the Teacher Training College and since March 2015, she is Director of Quality of the University of Extremadura (currently in office). She is a member of the University Cloister and representative in the Governing Council. She is currently Vice-Chancellor for Students, Employment and Mobility.
