Purpose for web page: The purpose of the web page is to highlight the impact of the DACA repeal and advocate for the reinstatement of legislation that will enfranchise those affected by the repeal. The page will be a platform for people to exchange stories and knowledge and strategize. The page will be part of a larger effort that incorporates it into a larger network of DACA advocacy.
Desired outcome: To build awareness of the injustice of the DACA repeal and to give voice to those affected by it as well as a coordinated response by empathetic people and allies.
Ultimate Social-Justice Outcome: To create a societal outcome, through advocacy, lobbying, legislation and through judicial challenge that allows immigrants who came into this country at such a young age that they are in fact American in everything but their status as citizens. The age and circumstance of their entering the country was recognized as a special class and it is so desired for that class status to be reinstated and protected by law.
