Session: Fostering the 4Cs with Free Technologies

Kristen joined UNC Pembroke in The Office of Online Learning in January 2021 after working in higher education institutions for over a decade, including The UNC-CH School of Medicine, Meredith College, and NC State University. She holds a Master’s degree from Appalachian State University in Educational Media/Instructional Technology with a concentration in Online Learning & Professional Development, a graduate certificate in New Media Literacies & Global Perspectives, and Bachelor’s degrees from NC State University in Communication Media and Film Studies. She is especially interested in open source online tools, inclusive education, fostering learner flexibility, digital accessibility, and assistive technology.
