March 15th

School of Education (SOEB) Room 204

12:00pm - 1:00pm

There will be a pre-conference opportunity to "Link before LiNC" with other students and attendees. This event will take place before the conference and allow conference attendees to talk in a discussion-style format about themes of the conference and explore topics of interest.

Why is there a pre-conference event?

The purpose of LiNC is to challenge student leaders to explore the intersections of leadership, identity, and equity on their campuses. Many conferences try to pack in so much information and resources, which can be overwhelming at times. The pre-conference event allows participants to expand their network and build a foundation of knowledge prior to the conference. Leadership is relational; it's about how you interact with others. This optional pre-conference opportunity will give attendees the chance to connect with other student leaders to grow their network. LiNC serves as an opportunity to help attendees build relationships throughout their leadership journey.

Link before LiNC serves as a conversation for attendees to talk about their personal experiences regarding inclusivity, diversity, and leadership on campus. Other potential topics for discussion include talking about what leadership looks like along with what inclusivity looks like on campus. The goal of this discussion is to help you reflect on leadership as it applies to yourself, others, and the broader community.

By providing this pre-conference opportunity, we hope you are able to better absorb and apply what you learn so that you can continue to be a Change Maker!
