There were 11 undergraduate research abstracts submitted for AISC 2022. A jury invited 5 of these students to present in a special session.

Top three award winners were:

First Prize: Zoe McDonald (Boston Univ.) and Livia Betti (Univ. of Rochester), mentored by Steven J. Miller of Williams College

Second Prize: William McCance (UC Santa Barbara), mentored by Sat Gupta of UNC Greensboro and Sadia Khalil of Lahore College for Women University

Third Prize: Yiren Hou (Univ. of Georgia), mentored by Abhyuday Mandal of University of Georgia
