Maternal and Infant Mortality
Healthcare providers are continuing to show negligence towards African American women. The pregnancy related issues that African American mothers are enduring are far more serious than those of white women. Structural racism in the United States has been showing an insufficient amount of access and defective quality of care towards black women. Women at lower socioeconomic levels are undervalued. Health care providers should be very attentive to all races, no matter the color of their skin or the kind of insurance they have.
