100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte

The mission of the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte is to enrich the lives of African-American youth through mentoring, education, health & wellness, economic empowerment, and leadership. This goal is achieved through one-on-one and group program in conjunction with a myriad of programs to address specific needs.

The 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte has partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and for the 2021-2022 academic year, Dorothy J. Vaughan Academy of Technology, to address specific student needs including reading and reading comprehension. Historically, the organization has also supported CMS's North Star Reading Program where community stakeholders would support individual and group reading sessions with elementary students.
