Glo Merriweather

Glo is a black trans community organizer and activist on immigrant rights and other issues. Glo has been in the news as a member of the activist group Charlotte Uprising and was a high-profile defendant charged with inciting a riot during large-scale street protests that followed the police shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott. After time in jail and a two year legal battle, Glo's charges have been dismissed. She continues to advocate to a wide range of audiences about civil rights, white privilege, and community engagement.
