Introducing UMPSA's flexible co-curricular model, designed to give students greater control over earning co-curricular credits. Students can choose from a wide variety of modules focused on developing their competency and affective domains. Each module is worth 2 CATS (0.5 credits) and is offered multiple times throughout the semester. CATS refer to as Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme. Classes for each module are held on Saturdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, with specific dates assigned to each module. Students must attend the class on the designated date for their selected module, ensuring they can effectively balance their academic commitments and campus life. To fulfill the 2-credit co-curricular requirement, students must accumulate a minimum of 8 CATS.
Accumulated CATS do not expire and can be claimed at any point before graduation. Each module's credit can only be claimed once. This model offers an excellent opportunity for students to enrich their educational experience while efficiently managing their time and responsibilities.
