The 4-H Food Stand at the fair is one of our largest fundraisers for Wright County 4-H programs. Your cooperative help at the food stand is very important and appreciated! We hope that working in the food stand is a fun and educational experience in food service and teamwork, in addition to being an important fundraiser.
Please remember the dress code for working the food stand:
All workers must wear closed-toed shoes, and pants or shorts that end BELOW the fingertips, as well as an apron.
Each person working with food prep should have a clean hat or head covering.
Those working the grill may not wear shorts.
Please change clothes/shoes if you have been working in the livestock barns before working your food stand shift.
Be sure to also adhere to 4-H event dress code standards.
Please check out the food stand manual at: (link to come) for more information about volunteer positions and procedures.

Only screened adult volunteers who have taken the credit card training will be able to operate the credit card machine. There needs to be at least two adults per club shift trained.
Those who operate the credit card machines must:
Be a screened MN 4-H Volunteer. Find volunteer application steps on the 4-H volunteer website.
Take the two-part credit card training:
Part one: take the Payment Card Security Awareness Training.
Part two: Sign the Credit Card Authorization Form.
Two money counters are needed for each night’s closing shift in the food stand. These must be screened adult volunteers. Each club is asked to provide at least one adult at some point. Please sign up on our Money Counter SignUp Genius Page
Each club also needs to send two youth or adults to help with inventory from 4:30-6:00 on the last day of the fair. If we have enough help, this usually goes quite quickly. This counts as a shift worked for club members and may fit better for those who have a busy fair week.

Foodstand tickets valued at $25.00 will be on sale for 4-H families at the 4‑H Exhibit Building desk throughout the fair for just $20! We will be accepting credit card payment for tickets as well as check/cash.
To help reduce the costs of food for Wright County 4‑H’ers at the fair, the 4-H foodstand will be offering the $6.00 foodstand meal for 4-H members ONLY. This will not be advertised on any signage in the foodstand, so please ask for it upon paying. The meal includes a choice of: Breakfast sandwich, cheeseburger, hamburger, or chicken strips. And is served with French fries, chips and choice of beverage choice (milk, pop, or water). The $6.00 meal replaced the free meal ticket members previously received for working at the foodstand, but this option will increase savings by being able to use this unlimited deal throughout the fair.
