Sensei Trung Le is a godan, 5th degree black belt, registered with the AAKF and WTKF. Sensei Le is a high level national and international Kata and Kumite judge, have competed, and judged many national and world championship tournaments. He studied and trained under the directions of Master Hidetaka Nishiyama and Sensei Robert Fusaro. After Sensei Fusaro retired from teaching traditional karate at the University of Minnesota, he took over and continues the tradition of providing high quality traditional karate-do training at the University of Minnesota since 1967.

Amelia is a senior studying biology, society, and environment. She is a 2nd degree black belt and has competed in many competitions throughout her years of experience. Amelia joined the karate club her freshman year.
