Making Writing Meaningful is a practical, instructor-focused guide to creating engaging and meaningful writing assignments across the curriculum. Informed by thousands of student interviews about students' most meaningful college writing experiences as part of the Meaningful Writing Project, Eodice, Geller, and Lerner identify the core features of assignments that foster deep engagement and connection.
Each session will address a different section of the book. Participants are invited to attend any sessions of interest. Reading in advance is encouraged but not required.
The reading group will meet monthly on Friday mornings (9 a.m.) via Zoom throughout the spring semester.Â
