UMN SANE Program Opportunities

Additional Opportunities

Training Reimbursement

Current trainees are eligible for reimbursement for SANE trainings. Trainings must be approved in advance for reimbursement by program staff. Trainees may also submit a reimbursement request for mileage and/or hotel costs associated with travel to trainings that exceeds 100 miles one-way.

Approval Process

  • To request an approval, submit this form, including date, location, and title of the training, as well as how it will help you to grow in your work as a SANE. Please submit one survey per training/reimbursement request.

  • Approval should be received before registration, as the program is unable to reimburse unapproved trainings. Please contact umnsane@umn.edu with questions or to request an exemption.

Reimbursement Process

Reimbursements are processed AFTER the training is complete. All components of reimbursement must be submitted to the UMN's secure platform, UMN Box, within 30 days of training. To request reimbursement, you will need to submit:

  • Proof of payment: a receipt that shows payment received for training and preferably includes the training date. A cancelled check, bank or credit card screenshot is not acceptable.

  • Proof of completion: a CEU certificate or similar document

AND

  • If your employer has paid for the training, the program will reimburse your employer for that expense. Please provide a completed copy of the organization's W-9 form.

OR

  • If you have paid for the training, the program will reimburse your expense. Please provide a completed copy of your W-9 form.
