The Ready→Steady Wellness Program is a research project designed to assess different ways to help people to increase and maintain their level of physical activity.

This research project will compare 4 versions of Ready→Steady. Results will help to determine which components in this program help people include these physical activities in their everyday lives

Volunteer Activities
Volunteer Activities
Volunteers in this research project will be part of a small group (4-6 people) that meets weekly for 90 minutes in a community center in St. Paul or Minneapolis.
Volunteers in this research project will be part of a small group (4-6 people) that meets weekly for 90 minutes in a community center in St. Paul or Minneapolis.
Each volunteer will also be asked to meet with a research assistant at least 4 times for an interview and to observe balance, strength and physical activity:

1 week before the meetings begin
1 week after the meetings end
6 months after the meetings end
12 months after the meetings end
Volunteers will receive compensation and may keep their personal activity monitor (Fitbit)

If you are at least 70 years old and do not perform balance, strength, and endurance (e.g., walking) activities on a regular basis, you might be able to take part in this program.
