Before you begin the program, we will give you detailed information about the study. We will also ask you specific questions to determine your eligibility for the study. Overall Ready Steady if for people who are not regularly engaged in strength-building, balance-challenging and endurance movements (e.g., walking).
In our future, Ready Steady will continue to be an 8 week course. For the research aspect of it, there will be a minimum of 4 interviews/ assessments that each last 90 minutes. These are scheduled to occur before and after (immediately, 6 months, 12 months) an 8 week course. The 8 week course involves weekly meetings, each lasting 90 minutes.
No! Ready Steady is in the community, within different neighborhood locations such as community centers, churches, rec centers. Our team will work with you to understand which location you prefer, should you choose to participate.
