Patient had 2-3 days of gastroenteritis symptoms when family noticed she was less responsive than usual, not responding to her name and "falling asleep" while sitting up. When parents picked her up and noticed she was limp, they called 911.

It's well-known that "copycat" suicides increase following high-profile media reports of suicide, particularly when stories are shared in a particular light or with explicit details. Given the easy access kids and teens have to social media's largely uncensored content and audience, it highlights the importance of addressing media use, especially when patients are at high risk of socioemotional crises. The WHO has a set of guidelines around reporting of suicide in the media that may be helpful to inform what kind of content is particularly problematic and thus useful to screen for/avoid.
