The purpose of managing the One Stop website as a product is to enable necessary updates, avoid product degradation, and deliver an ever-improving site to users.
The product manager works with the ASR UX and Content Strategy team, content writers, and Custom Solutions using agile methodology to maintain the site backlog. The backlog includes site features, items identified for research and discovery, technical maintenance items, and content changes.
There are several mechanisms in place to receive and prioritize feedback from the community:
Work request intake process (varies by campus)
Drupal webform: an in-site, on-page feedback form open to any user to submit anonymous feedback
Google Analytics
Content Writers working group
The feedback we receive moves through a collaborative review and prioritization process by the product team using a backlog project in Asana. If actionable, items will ultimately be delivered during development sprints and/or through the editorial workflow in Asana.
The editorial workflow includes regularly scheduled content maintenance (e.g. homepage content, academic calendar, cost of attendance, tuition rates).
The product manager and ASR UX and Content Strategy team are responsible to measure site performance against the high-level user requirements, content requirements, and the core strategy.
