Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship
The Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship awards the university's most accomplished PhD candidates. As a department, we have a limited number of students we can nominate for this Fellowship. To this end, each year students submit a proposal for internal review. Students are then nominated and, over the past several years, OLPD has had a DDF winner.
To be considered for this Fellowship you must first have attended or watched the video of a CEHD DDF Workshop. Once you have, please complete the DDF Workshop Completion Form. Then, please submit a two-page (double-spaced, excluding references) statement that does the following:
Clearly explains dissertation research. If the dissertation is part of a larger research project, explain its original contribution.
Explain how research fits within the context of the field, and discuss the impact the research may have on the field and/or society.
Describe how a DDF will support professional and/or career goals.
Please submit your proposal by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 3.
