Hi, I'm Nathan Okey, a graduating senior at the University of Minnesota majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a Mathematics minor. My studies and research have centered on high-performance experimental systems, with hands-on experience designing and building combustion adjacent hardware and developing test infrastructure from the ground up. I'm drawn to the challenge of working with precision components that have to perform flawlessly in extreme environments.
I thrive in environments where work moves fast and the stakes are high. Whether it's troubleshooting a fabrication process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, or figuring out why something isn't performing like I wanted it to, I bring curiosity and determination to every problem. I'm eager to contribute to a team building new and meaningful to advance life on (and off) of this planet.
When I'm off the clock, you'll find me outdoors, cycling or hiking around the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
