Each Leducq Fellow is assigned a Leducq mentor for the duration of the award. The goal of this program is to leverage the expertise of the network to enhance the Fellows training experience and accelerate the achievement of their goals. This mentorship program includes but is not limited to grant writing, presentation skills, and technique training.
These monthly journal clubs, led by Leducq Fellows, are designed to highlight and examine major advances in the relevant cardiovascular literature and, at the same time, allow fellows to exercise their presentation skills.
These meetings provide the Fellows with the opportunity to develop ideas and enhance collaboration at the biannual meetings
These opportunities are supported primarily through Jump Start Grants for inter-network projects. Grants are evaluated annually and awarded based on merit to allow for visits to other labs within the network.
