Ishit Chauhan, MD

Ishit Chauhan is a postdoctoral research scientist in the Weiner lab at CCTI. He completed his medical school from Jinan University in China and moved to India for his internship at a government hospital and then worked in the departments of Biochemistry and Cardiology at a high-volume tertiary care center. He moved to the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital for his surgical residency and completed 2 years of residency there. He moved to India to work in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Jaypee Hospital, Noida before moving to Columbia University Medical Center to work on research related to xenotransplantation and transplant immunology. As a part of the Weiner lab, Ishit's current work is related to large animal xenotransplantation.
