Elisabeth Kemter, DVM is a Professor and senior principal investigator in Eckhard Wolf’s lab at the University of Munich. She has expertise as a veterinarian, pathologist and molecular biologist with research focus in xenotransplantation and large animal models for translational research. Her primary focus as Leducq Fellow is directed towards the engineering and characterization of optimized gene edited pigs as donors for xenotransplantation. Specifically, she uses gene editing, in vitro validation tools for studying functionality of genetic modifications, and immunohistochemistry.
