Arne Hinrichs, Dr.med.vet, DVM is a postdoctoral researcher in Eckhard Wolf`s lab at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. As a trained veterinarian, he is working on the generation and characterization of genetically modified pig models. His primary work as a Leducq Fellow focuses on investigating growth hormone insensitivity in pigs to reduce the size of donor organs for xenotransplantation. Specifically, he uses histomorphological analysis, OMICS, and in vivo metabolic studies to elucidate the effects of growth hormone insensitivity on longitudinal growth and metabolism.
