Dani Bostick is an educator, advocate, and former mental health counselor. She teaches Latin and Classics at John Handley High School in Winchester, VA. Her work on trauma, child sexual abuse and white supremacy has appeared in the Washington Post, The Week, Marie Claire, Parenting, and HuffPost, among others. Kelly Dugan is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical Studies and 2021-2022 Community Learning Faculty Fellow at Trinity College. She holds a PhD in Language and Literacy Education from the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on antiracist teaching and teacher training in ancient studies. She also studies systems of enslavement and abolition from antiquity to today. In addition to teaching and pedagogical research, Dr. Dugan has a background as a writing coach and years of experience in designing and teaching academic success courses for transfer and first-generation college students. This academic year, she is teaching Latin, mythology, Ancient Worlds in Our Community, and Ethiopia and the Ancient Mediterranean. See her Trinity College profile at the links above.
