Mentors additionally have access to faculty lead seminars focused on professional development. Materials and recordings from these workshops will be shared with active mentors after each event.

A guide to mentoring, expectations, and resources for grad-student mentors within the Field Guides program.

Hosted by Dr. Amanda Hund, this seminar covers the importance of mentoring for success in STEM fields and shared strategies for building successful mentoring relationships.

FIELD GUIDE MENTOR-MENTEE RESOURCES

We encourage each Field Guide mentor-mentee pairing to complete both the mentoring agreement and the goal setting sheet linked below at the beginning of each semester.

A worksheet to guide conversation around communication and expectations for your mentorship pair each semester.

This worksheet is intended to guide your thinking and conversation regarding goals you wish to accomplish as a mentorship pair.

An abbreviated version of an MBTI test to learn about each other’s communication styles to understand and work together more effectively.

We don't expect you to have answers to every one of your mentee's questions! If you feel outside of your area of expertise/experience, or just want to provide additional resources -- check out the recorded seminar and guide below given by the CBS Student Services.
