Many University of Minnesota sites include a list of people affiliated with an organization and a list of research outputs like publications authored by people in the organization. Most of the time, the lists are a subset of data that already exists in Experts@Minnesota, the University's public research portal.

After several requests for help from webmasters who are not web developers, University Libraries developed the Experts Website Widgets. The Widgets allow a webmaster to paste a tiny bit of JavaScript into any webpage to add a list of publications or people from Experts@Minnesota.
