Compost

The garden has a three bin compost system, built in 2021.

Please put plant material you'd like to compost from your garden bed into the bin closest to the garden entrance. Please do NOT put branches or woody material into the compost bin. Create a separate pile for these and bring them to the county brush piles.

Once the first bin is full, garden volunteers will need to turn the pile into the middle bin. It can continue to decompose and rest in the middle bin before being used on garden beds. If the first bin fills again before the middle bin is done composting, we can utilize the third bin.
