CEHD Research Support Services

To get started on a proposal, please fill out the Intent to Submit a Proposal form below, and a grant coordinator will get in touch with you within two business days. If you'd like to discuss prior to filling out the form, please contact the grant coordinator affiliated with your unit.  PLEASE NOTE: ICI investigators should contact Lucy Evans about new proposals and do not need to submit the form.

CEHD provides pre-award support services for the University of Minnesota Rochester.  UMR faculty and investigators are welcome at all CEHD-sponsored research events and should follow the same processes as CEHD investigators.  Please contact Ellen Freeman with any questions.

CEHD Research Events

CEHD hosts a variety of research events, including open office hours via Zoom (bring your questions!), introductions to federal agencies, "teams & themes" workshops, and the annual CEHD Research Day poster session.

CEHD Grant Coordinators and Pre-Award Staff

CEHD's grant coordinators assist in preparing and submitting proposals for external funding. They develop budgets, advise on the development of supplementary materials, work with subcontractors and partners, and prepare the proposal for submission through SPA. Grant coordinators' goal is to help PIs develop and submit proposals that are competitive and compliant with both UMN and sponsor guidelines. 

Grant coordinators may work on proposals from any CEHD unit, but serve as the primary contacts for particular units (see below).

All of CEHD's grant coordinators work primarily remotely, and email is the best way to reach them.
