It was in the Reaction Kinetics and Reactor Engineering course during her undergraduate studies that Shatha's interest in catalysis was ignited, as she became captivated by the complex and dynamic nature of catalytic processes. This newfound focus led her to explore various aspects of catalysis, from material synthesis and characterization to reactor design and process optimization. Her curiosity also drew her to emerging fields such as plasma catalysis and polymerization, where she saw the potential for transformative advances. These experiences, grounded in her innate curiosity and desire to make an impact, have shaped Shatha into a researcher truly Driven to Discover. Beyond the lab, Shatha thrives on a variety of pursuits—from reading and writing to fitness and dancing. She’s an avid cyclist, a passionate cook, and an amateur photographer. Always up for a challenge, she enjoys solving puzzles like Sudoku, exploring new places and museums, and trying her hand at activities like horseback riding and archery.
